It is starting from 28th February and India is hosting it.

I'll most probably go to watch the match @ Dhyan Chand National Stadium. Let's see.

Only the top 2 in their respective groups advance to the Semi Final.

its like all of us football fans.... have taken it upon us to promote sports other than cricket...

anyway, D'Souza is a gr8 keeper and i hope india wins it.. we have home advantage..

Hockey is our national sport and surely means 100x more to Mother India than Cricket - the lazy man's sport.

i can see everything that is wrong with indian hockey here.17posts and none talking about any strategy or the playing style of our team.we only care as long as we win.so, this thread is expected to sink into oblivion as soon as india gets knocked out

^ The Indian team this time is relying heavily on the Penalty corner dragflickers. We've got a good bunch of Penalty corner specialists in a long time. You could clearly see that the 2 goals which we scored yesterday were from Penalty corners.

Yeah, and unlike previous times, this Indian team actually moves the ball by passing rather than running the entire length of the field by themselves.

India lost.

India hammered 5-2 by the Aussies. We lost teh game in the midfield, rarely threatening to attack in numbers.

Oh well. It was good while it lasted i.e. for 1 match against Pak.

We need to accept plain and simple,that indian hockey is not enough good.there are 16 astroturf facilities in india,and 11 out there in punjab,does this help? we need a indian hockey team,not punjabi hockey team.i am here not in any way have any bias felling for any community,but thats true.indian hockey need a adminstrative reform.actions and commitment do speak more louder then slogans chak de india.

I wish there was a way to take camera or DSLR or even a simple point and shoot inside the stadium

.Only Mobiles are allowed .not even coins lol.Astmospher inside the stadium was just amazing .Even though India lost the game against England, and pakistan lost against South Africa .Still it was a memorable experiance

.I'm all ready to watch rank play off (even it is for 7th and 8th ) match of India either on 11th or 12th of this month ..whenever it is
