A.Mainstream ; 15" - 16 " screen

3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?
A.programming, Video editing via.cyberlink powerdirector, 2012-13 RPG games. like assassin's creed, tomb raider.watching movies, sometimes using virtualbox.

5) Any typical configuration in your mind you' re eying for ?
A.1TB HDD, minimum 4GB RAM, minimum nvidia 820m 2gb ,need i5 but confused about 4th gen, need a processor more powerful than i5 2430m.

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don' t like ?
a. Like:Asus
b. Dislike :HP, ACER
NOT SURE: DELL, LENOVO, TOSHIBA

6) Anything else you would like to say ?
A.Glare preferred, Battery back up 3hours+,
Purchase place: online or offline anywhere in india.
I need a powerful system which could handle dual boots, video editing, 2013-14 games at low -medium settings, MATLAB, CAD, ORACLE 10g ,multitasking would be average, not too high .Portability is not a issue, good keyboard quality not like some i3 Lenovo laptops, OS is optional, will be considering design also.

Like:Asus x550ld XX064D( not sure about it's processing power)
Asus X550LD-XX082D(sometimes thinks that it is more than what I need)

BTW how is the keyboard and touchpad quality?

I have used My roommate laptop Lenovo g500s.which has pathetic keyboard, the keyboard feels very weak and it got pressed inside when applied little pressure. It feels very fragile, does the g510 comes with same type of keyboard?

BTW Intel Core i7 4500U vs i5 4200M .So Asus XX50LD-XX028D could be considered as an equivalent in terms of performance(except graphics ) ?

I'm going for ASUS X550LD XX028D, because i5 4200M is just slightly greater than i7 4500u.But power consumption and heat emmison is very less in asus one, which is good for long run of CPU.And g510 has a weaker gpu than this one.
Another reason is I have tried using the softwares (that I'm going to run )on my friend's laptop which has i5 4200u CPU with 6gb ram ,Nvidia 720M ,and it runs smoothly, So that's why I'm going for a little more better CPU, because I know My needs.

It got great display. Would be good for watching movies but,the graphic card 820m is an entry level card which could handle games in low or medium resolution, but 1920x1080 would be too much for that card, it'll play at very low fps( frames per second) ,that would not be much enjoyable.

There's also a HD version of this laptop with 840m @ 43k. Wish there was 840m instead of 820m in FHD Version.
