I found many 4G routers with sim slots but all of them were 5k or more. Is it worth buying a 5k+ router when we have 5G possibly coming soon by next year ? Are there any 5G variants available ?

Seller on Amazon is still selling the D-Link DWR-920V on old price of 6k+ when the price has fallen to around 4.5k. Any idea where can I get this from or any other alternative at a resonable price please.

In my opinion it is risky but if you can confirm from amazon support that you will get refund if the device does not work for your sim then go ahead.
Look at some 4G LTE models here: GL-iNet
looks very nice but will they support indian 4g bands ? and most importantly do they ship their products here ?

PS : if you want 5G router it's better to wait IMO.
You can see some of the products on Amazon.
They haven't listed their LTE bands; will have to ask to be sure.
But these days LTE modems tend to support almost every global LTE band.
