1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans:Games like bf3 , crysis3 , far cry 3 etc . at high resolution and for some online gaming also like COD and cs :p
and watching full HD movies and somtimes 3d also .

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 50k (+2 max).

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No for intel .. for AMD (i can try if its easy :p ) .. but i dnt have any knowledge abt overclocking and i dont want to waste my money on buying coolers :p

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:windows 7

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:1 or 2 TB which ever fits my budget.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:yes . 22" monitor . under 8-8.5 k

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: keyboard , mouse.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:this month only .. as soon as i get a good config.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: assembler.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:delhi .. so ill buy it from nehru place :)

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans:i want a UPS also .. I guess intex wud be good and its cheaper also 1400/-
as i mentioned i want pc only for gaming so which proc wud be better for me .. intel or amd .. and i want this config for
atleast 3 yrs..
i run my pc for 10 hours and play games for 5-6 (or more than that :p )hours. so , will amd be good choice for me as i have heard that it has
heating problem , and i dnt want any problem about heating and dont want to install any kind of cooler .. but i can add 300-400 rs led fan if necessary :p ... Im more towards AMD coz of its speed and the 8 cores :D :p

With Intel, you have to go for an after market cooler as the stock cooler's performance is quite poor, especially in the coming months.

And better invest your money in HD 7870 (2 GB) if you wanna game at 1080p.

Intel Core i5 3470 - Rs 11000
Gigabyte GA-H77M-D3H - Rs 5800
Gskill Ripjaws 4GB - Rs 1975
GPU - Sapphire HD-7870-2GD5-GHz - Rs 16380
HDD - Toshiba DT01ACA100 1TB - Rs 4100

Monitor - AOC LED 22" (I-2251FWE) IPS panel (1920x1080 LED) - Rs 7800

Total - Rs 54,230

Since your requirement is just gaming, movies and wont spend on a CPU cooler thus no overclocking, you are better off with an Intel.

EDIT : For an UPS get a Mercury 650VA (390Watts) Elite Pro for Rs 1330.Try and get a Antec A20 CPU cooler, over the stock for Rs 600.

Off topic, but on mdcomputers, there are two prices mentioned, one is the price and the other is the ex tax price, so what is the second price?

I think the First one is Inclusive of tax and second one is exclusive of tax.

The first price of Rs 1768 is what you have to pay as they dont sell anything without the bill. EX tax price is one without the VAT and is for your reference only.

If he is getting Corsair GS500 for Rs 4000 I see no reason to get a Seasonic ECO PSU for Rs 3900 which has way substandard and questionable build quality.

Seasonic ECO is a market specific OEM PSU.While Corsair GS series is available worldwide with better service and RMA history.

IMO along with the Intel rig if he cant fit in the HD 7870 he should definitely stick with a GTX660 over a HD7850 any day.

You are going to game and HD 7870 is very good at its price. I see no reason wy u r going for a FX 8350. If you are using all software which core hungry then you can go.

Ya, if OP's requirements' main focus is on Gaming then he should opt for a i5 3470 and a better Graphics card. In fact, going with i5 3470 can let him add the better and more powerful HD 7870 LE/XT Graphics card which is in between 17 to 18K in mdcomputers.in.

These local UPS are crappy and sometimes may even burn your entire PC but you know about APC. Among the 4 monitors Dell is excellent because I am using it right now. No issues none at all.

Bro go wid your Intel Rig and get the HD 7870 2 GB from Mdcomputers for 16.3k and Corsair GS500 for 3.9k. If you can find V Guard UPS get it. Its Rocking . Since you need backup for just 2 mins get the V Guard or Intex one. These can provide Backup upto 10 to 15 mins in idle.

If your TV is 3D enabled, then you can play games / watch movies on it. Otherwise, you can't. I don't think that specific model is 3D enabled.

Moreover, occasional games on TV are OK, but not recommended on regular basis.
