8 Inch and above Tablet Suggestions for HomeUse

Hi,
Recently my Asus Fonepad 7 used by my parents went dead and i am looking for a good replacement. Here are the basic things that come to my mind

1) Budget - 10 to 13 K Max
2) Display - 8 Inch and above
3) Memory - 2 Gb or above
4) Has To be very user friendly as being used mainly by my parents.

Any other things to look for are always welcome!

it's out of stock as per mi site. How is it?

It had some good reviews sometime back. Recently, Samsung launched 3 or 4 new models. They were priced near 20 -25K though.

Anymore suggestions on mentioned budget? Since big deals are going on both amazon and flipkart i thought this would be a good time.

iBall and Lenovo have some budget tablets. Check some reviews before you get them.

Thanks! Looks decent. Although i am not able to find it in amazon only on flipkart. Not able to find a review though. While searching for alternates, i found an ipad 9.7 inch wi-fi only version on 20 K. Although it's over my budget can't help taking a look. Any idea about those?

Lenovo is very bad on updates. Still stuck with Gingerbread on a couple of them.

@jackal_79 , you may try for Huawei media pad Mate or T3 10" series if your budget permits you.
But they are not yet available in India.
If you are comfortable with Gearbest,Banggood or Aliexpress sites,you might give it a try.
PRIMARY IS YOUR BUDGET, again If that Permits.

By the way, @meetdilip , how many Tabs do you have with you? Just a curiosity,Friend.

I have never used iOS. Neither have my parents. If at all I end up buying it will that be an issue. As mentioned earlier, this will be used mainly by my parents

WhatsApp will work if you have a tablet with a SIM slot, in most Android models.

I doubt it. WiFi only versions may not help. WhatsApp looks for active SIM before accepting usage. Most probably, Play Store will say " not available for this device ".

Some of the comments on Amazon page says whatsapp will work. How to make sure?

No idea, sorry. Maybe, write to them ?

Google search says whatsapp is not supported in ipad.Workaround is to use whatsapp web. Not comfortable with that. So iam back to android. Can someone suggest me on galaxy tab a? or any alternate for that matter?

Besides the attribute Color: , you have to select LTE 32G/64G Silver/Gold DL09 tab according to your budget and choice.
Initially,you also have to choose any tab besides the attribute Bundle:

Man don't go for lenovo. They suck when it comes to update. Get any model from Samsung. Increase your budget a little if you want the one's with more muscle.

Yes.
Those are Tablets only,never phablets.
It's for 4G data.

Bought Samsung Galaxy Tab A last month as i was in a hurry and couldn't get Lenovo Tab 4 which was out of stock on flipkart at that time. Tab is okay and seems good enough for my parents use. Funny thing was, the day after i bought it Huawei announced their mediapad 3 in india which is available now in FK for far lesser than i paid for the Samsung.

Anyway, thanks everyone for their help.

Huawei tab is nothing when compared to Samsung's. How much did you pay for it?

Buddy,Brand names are on a decline now.
Huawei is not any cr@p manufacturer.
Their products are worthy and comparable in many functional sense.
Samsung's BATTERY sucks,be it from Mobiles to Tablets to Laptops.

I agree about the brand names but I would still say that Huawei's tablet sucks. Let me share the detailed review link once I am at home.

i also want to buy this tab.
Want to choose mediapad 3 but some said they cannot install vainglory game which is my main game.

It didn't come with a s pen.
