Just got this from amazon - on prime day @ 799

After seeing one review by Shadab Ahmed that we can flash the firmware of Tenda AC5 on this one which cost just a rupee below 2K :

Flashed the firmware of Tenda AC5 and it's working flawlessly
AC5 Firmware-Tenda India
Tenda AC5 Specification-Tenda India

It feels great to take the red pill and leap of faith sometime

So basically iball is selling a clone of that tenda router at half price ? Interesting

I think OEM is same of both.

Well done Topgear !

Well damn! I thought i got a good deal at 999 a few months back. Anyway congratz. btw what extra feature do we get on flashing the Tenda AC5 firmware on i t ?

I don't know - just flashed it for the fun of it. But I think the tenda firmware is going to be more stable and secure. Also we may get updates if there's any from tenda where manufacturers like iball is not very well known for regular updates.
