It would be better and more informative to us if you fill this *www.thinkdigit.com/forum/pc-components-configurations/128247-pc-build-questionnaire-template.html

please fill up: *www.thinkdigit.com/forum/pc-components-configurations/128247-pc-build-questionnaire-template.html before anyone can suggest you any system.

Which futureproof hardware you already have?

as i am not planning to overclock

At 25K of budget do NOT go for Intel processors.

i3 2100 performs better than Athlon II/Phenom II quad cores when both are using same discreate graphics card. But at your budget if you get a costlier i3 2100 based rig, you have to sacrifise in Gfx card and have to settle for a HD 6770/HD6790. But with Athlon II X4, you can opt for a HD 6850 or HD 6870 (sapphire is just 10.8K) which will provide better gaming performance.

IMO changing to:

CPU: AMD AthlonII X4 640 -- 4k
MoBo: Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3 -- 4.8k

in Jaskawar's rig will be a better choice as the differnce b/w X4-640 and X4-840 is just a few MHz and the later mobo has BD support along with USB3.

+1 for jas and saswat.if you are lucky you may be able to unlock the 640 to hex core processor.but its chance is just 10%.

I have just streamlined my final config
can any1 help me, if i can cut down cost without changing hardware specs.
any changes to be done ????
Will be there be any price decrease in about 1-2 months.???
pls suggest
FINAL CONFIG

Component Make Price
Processor AMD Phenom II x4 955BE 5600
Motherboard Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3 4800
RAM G-skill F3-10600CL9S-2GBNT * 2 1400
Graphic Card MSI R6850 Cyclone Power Edition 9300
HDD Seagate 7200.12 1TB SATA 2600
DVD Writer LG 22X SATA DVD 900
PSU FSP Saga II 500W 2000
Case CM Elite 310 1500
Keyboard & Mouse Logitech MK100 500
UPS Intex 1KVA 1800

TOTAL : 304000

No, you cant unlock a 640 to a Hexa Core. The X6 is P2 with L3 where as as X4-640 is w/o L3. You can unlock an AthlonII X2 or AthlonII X3 into an AthlonII X4.

If you can wait for another 1-2months then its much better. AMD BD will be out by then and will be available around this price tag too. AthlonII and PhenomII prices will be slashed down like anything.

Your above config is quite good. Just change the Cabinet to NZXT GAMMA at 2k.

^^I read it somewhere brother that too even with the pics but i don't remember website name.

thankz sukesh & saswat!!

SFC10, rather than buying two 2 GB ram modules, get a single 4GB module for now because currently 4GB is becoming the new standard and they are dirt cheap. Get the Corsair XMS3 1600 MHz 4 GB module @ 1.6K.

thankss cilus

every opinion is worth considering
u guys rock!!!

I have some queries:

1.
This is my current display AOC - L26DK99U,
i use it for watching TV as well as for my PC Work
AOC LCD TV

It has HDMI option so can i connect the MSI R6850 Cyclone Power Edition (HDMI) for PC work ie. playing games, viewing movies, office work.

2.
I will have to use 64bit windows edition for 4GB Memory Usage.

3.
If i could go for wireless Keyboard and mouse as the viewing distance is too less & which brand should i prefer.

4.
what is the maximum onboard graphics sharing for Gigabyte GA-880GA-UD3H, bcoz i will b buying graphics card after 2-3 months.

FYI: Corsair XMS3 4GB module is @1.5K (saw that in this forum today only)
So, worth investing.

Logitech.

Sorry, but I don't know the proper answer of other questions.

All the 880G chipset comes with ATI Radeon HD 4250 DirectX 10.1 capable IGP with 128 MB DDR3 (in the current mobo) sideport memory which is dedicated to the IGP. The maximum system memory that can be allocated to it is 512 MB. So total memory will be 640 MB max. But IGP is not that powerful to use all that memory. Just allocate 256 MB of system memory to IGP from BIOS, the total memory will be then (128 MB sideport + 256 MB system) = 384MB.
