i want a laptop for around 40 k...

i plan to use it for surfing, word processing and music

i also plan to use it for light gaming though the bujdget is pretty less........

i want a performer in this class...

I would prefer locally available companies such as ACER, HCL, COMPAQ. etc

I feel Gaming would hard to get in that Budget... anyway wait for others to reply back...

personaly I would recomend, Acer 4710z is Rs. 33k all

go for compaq v3424au or v3435au...very nice but dey cum wiht vista which sucks....

Yup get a Acer aspire 4710G.. very good vfm.. 34k in mumbai..
