Hi,
Is it true that LED tv s emit very bright light and it is uncomfortable in bed room during night times?

Is this a valid justification to prefer LCD over LED?
Thank s.

AFAIK.. its a LED TV is just a marketing gimmick. its just the backlight source which is LED not the panel. Please correct me if I am wrong!

Yeah ! You are right Charan. There are no Fully LEd monitors.Just LED backlight LCD monitor these days.

And about the brightness in night..the determining factor that remains during night viewing is the brightness that you set for the Screen not whether its LCd or LEd.

Compared to CCFL-backlit LCD displays, LED-backlit LCD TVs

Produce images with greater dynamic contrast.
With Edge-LED lighting they can be extremely slim. Models on the market can be approximately one inch thick.
Offer a wider color gamut when RGB-LED backlighting is used.
Less environmental pollution on disposal.
Higher price.
Generally 20-30% lowers power consumption.
Improved reliability.
