During installation of Windows XP Pro PC gives a stop error that says the BIOS is not fully ACPI compliant and asks to restart the PC.
CPU is Intel P4 & the motherboard is of MSI

I had tried before disabling the APM but couldn't succeed. This time around I was able to install the lite version of Windows XP. But while installing the chipset drivers, the blue screen popped with stop error message. I reinstalled it, it was working fine without the motherboard drivers but again while downloading the same message came up.
I guess it could be some hardware problem.

Exactly which MSI motherboard are you using?
