That was just a rumour, don't worry about that. GTX670 will be best for you in this budget, for shops in Chennai, wait for some local member to post.

@ OP - you can get the GTX 670 from flipkart but price will be more than 28k.

contact smc international imo the best place to buy graphics card in india.They give the cheapest rates also.,add to that there superb packing,quick dispatch.
