Can somebody teach me how to bowl perfectly in Cricket 2004. I could see only four keys for bowling - A,S,D,W. ALl keys start bowling but i could control only its swing. I do not know where to pitch the ball and how to vary pace. Can somebody give me a detailed tut on bowling in Cricket 2004?

Thanks in advance.

I use gamepad n I find it easy on Gamepad to play rather than a keyboard. But I learned 2 bowl in net practice. Listen 2 the commentry properly n bowl accordingly. You can improve by doing this. Play as many matches as u can, this will surely increase ur performance.

yeah go thru the training.u control the ball pos using arrows.use the same A,S,D,W keys for varying pace.D is spl ball;W is for slo ball;A is for leg/off cutter and S is the normal thing.

first choose if u are going to bowl A,S,D or W.press that key when the bowler is ready.fix ball pos using arrows quickly.he starts bowling.now the meter on the left starts rising.press A,S,D,W before the meter rises fully.if u don't, he bowls a no-ball.if u press too early, the ball is bowled with less pace.

i hope these few tips help u

bye :wink:

guys select a wet/ dump pitch,then select any off spinner like Harbhajan .
To a left hander throw the ball at a distance of on foot throw it with min. speed/ negligible speed.Use D for special ball
See the effect,
I've bowled out aussies for just 10 using spinners mainly Harbhajan, Sehwag, (Kumble too).

ask me.I'm a moderator at cricket2005.org forums(if mods here feel this is advertaising I'm sorry.I make no profit.Just want to provide you with information)

visit *www.cricket2005.org/ for updates on the game.

And coming to differences between Cricket 2004 & 2005

* Cricket 2005 uses the FIFA engine for player models.So the player models & faces are many times more realistic than cricket 2004

* Cricket 2004 had more than 75 stadiums.But Cricket 2005 has only 35 :(

* EA says it has fixed all the bugs of Cricket 2004.We will know it only when the game is released officially.

The player models definitely score a plus point. In the demo, the character animation looks a bit repetetive but I am sure that the final version will ship with much more diverse range of animation.

Btw, the game demo ran on my gfx card-less system very smoothly with minimal load time. :)
