I currently have 2 x2gb RAM, and want 4 GB more. Should I go 2,2,4 or 2,2,2,2. Are Flipkart's prices fair ?

Additionally, I have 5k to spend. After the RAM, what would be a good upgrade ?
Current config: i5 2500, DH67BL , Sapphire 6870 , 2x2gb gskill ripjaws , Seagate 1TB, Bijli

Buy another 4 GB stick, which will give you the option of adding another 4GB in future.

BTW, what is the model of the present RAM set which you have got?

Can I get a decent kb+mouse combo (or only mouse?) with the remaining of the 5k ?

why you want more ram?
Coz I dont want to shut rainmeter, other browsers, and a lot of other useful background apps before starting Battlefield.
I also use Photoshop a lot.

Flipkart has the F3-12800CL9S-4GBXL for 1665. Can I get a decent kb+mouse combo for 3.5 k ?

Yea its Gskill. And I have 5k including the RAM, so its more like 3.5k. Ive always wanted to have a nice ,comfy gaming mouse with customisable buttons

Never really tried with them on. After finding a nice server on battlelog and then waiting for the level to load, i dont really wanna take a chance. But I will try that and post it here, now that you mention it.
Either way, I play with everything 1 level below Ultra (not sure what its called)

The budget is pretty tight. Ill get a new cabby after my next freelance website. Maybe a decent mousepad to go with the g400 ? (read great reviews about it btw)

Buy that F3-12800CL9S-4GBXL, but not from flipkart. Its overpriced IMO. In local market you will get that ~1.5K

Mouse: G400
Keyboard: Sidewinder x4

It does affect the fps quite a bit (i play bf3). It consumes >2GB RAM. The OP really needs the extra RAM if he wants to run things in background. Even firefox with lots of tabs + bf3 causes lag.

Thanky guys. I got the sidewinder x4 (Rs 2250) , the g400 (Rs 1500) and gSkill RipjawsX 4GB (Rs 1500) from lamington road.
Had to run around a lot but I'm happy I didnt overpay. Now all I need to do is collect a lil more money for a mousepad. Any budget options ?
