Which book is better for learning of android app development ? If possible provide a link to any online store, preferably flipkart.

I picked android development for this summer at appin. Although they said they'll provide study materials, I don't want to fully rely on them. Found few books in flipkart but their contents were confusing to me.

I found that deitel uses a different teaching style in this matter called "app driven learning". Is it worth a shot ?

All books I found were released in year 2011-2012 and its almost half past 2013 now, wont they be little outdated ?
