OP does not need dual sim, and S Duos has a weak cortex a5 cpu with adreno 200 gpu..

Id suggest waiting for Xperia M (Im going to do so as well) or going for Xperia L if u can increase budget
Alternately, you may go for Galaxy Core or L7 II but I have yet to see a good review for both of them

does xperia l , Samsung Galaxy S Duos , xperia m , Galaxy Core ......supports gsm card ?....my dad has only gsm card( provided by the company) so gsm support is must...

obviously.. CDMA phones are very rare..

if you can raise your budget go for xperia L

Cmon its your Dad, why does he need an Android when he can get everything and smthing more out of a Windows 8 Lumia. You want him to panic when an app crashes or the battery dies at the middle of a long journey?

Just ask him to get a Lumia 520

I used this trick twice. During school days,when i get bored of my phone, i ask my Dad to buy a new phone for himself. But when he finds it too big and complicated i just take it from him and give him my old phone

lava belongs there, still it would be great if you describe the matter here so that others may also choose wisely

as of the phone, i agree with mikael_schiffer 's comment, buy Lumia 520. and Dad's really do love nokia.

my dad currently has lava ph..(old 1) with poor build quality + laggy ( i dont know model no) also my dad not interested in lenovo ...so hes interested in Nokia, sams , sony....so i think Nokia 520 is perfect 4him...or any other sugg ? if no then 520 vs 620 ? which is better ?????

he dont want windows based ph....android only .....also hes not interested in sony...( i dont know why...bt he always refuses sony ) so any other better ph under 20k....or something arnd 22k....apart frm sony & lenovo ?

xperia sp is a very good phone but sadly you dont want sony :-(
