After starring in the multiple Oscar winning "Slumdog Millionaire", Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor will play an anti-terrorist cop in hit American TV action drama "24".
Contactmusic.com reports that Anil will play an Indian counter-terrorist cop who teams up with Canadian actor Kiefer Sutherland in the eighth season of the long-running programme.

"Anil would play Jack Bauer's counterpart in India. It's not known yet whether Anil will appear in just one episode of whether he'll be a recurring character. Either way the producers are very excited about having him onboard," said a source from the production house.

jackie shroff would have been better candidate.

that would be nice but
AFAIK Kiefer Sutherland is British not Canadian

I think Sanjay Dutt is a better candidate.

R

how can anyone else be a candidate when Anil Kapoor was selected just because he was a part of a recent Oscar winning movie?

IMHO, Anil Kapoor is a better actor than all of the names mentioned above.

Hope he is signed for the entire season!

sab oscar ki mahima hai...

First Freida Pinto is reported to be playing a bond girl, then the kids are chosen by Congress party (to do what? i have no clue) and now this...

Nice break for him

yes, indeed a nice break for him ....i love his acting

yeh anil kapoor ko kuch jyada hi nahi chara diya.He is a good actor. But Slumdog Millionaire ke liye yeh aise khush ho raha tha jaise iski sabse best acting usmein thi.Even chameli ki shaadi and saheb mein anil kapoor ki acting achi thi.

Anil Kapoor has been my fav. since 'Mr.India'... anyway, good for him.

I hope he goes on to do a lot of international films, Bollywood's forgotten him anyway. Reminds me of Amrish Puri; he acted in quite a few international films too.
