where is the trick? Who stopped other makers to do same? just because one did not do it, doesn't mean the other that has, is wrong!

Could this lead to release of "Nvidia exclusive" titles?

++Market fragmentation;

Xbox One will not support AMD’s Mantle, and PS4 is also unlikely. Is Mantle DOA? | ExtremeTech

Desperation ?
this type of fragmentation hurts us( the end user the gamers) badly. So according to you the users who have AMD gpus should not play nvidia titles???

a quote from the second page
Under ordinary circumstances, the consumer sees none of this. The typical takeaway from these results would be “Man, AMD builds great hardware, but their driver support sucks.”

just see the comparisn the mighty R9 290 performing similar to 770 in games which used this API. Regarding making same many API s AMD has made open.

closed API means other parties can't optimize their driver for a particular game which uses the API heavily

GameWorks is middleware that favours Nvidia's platforms. If developers use it they favour Nvidia GPUs. The only way around it would be to use middleware from both companies (I guess Mantle for AMD?), or to use neutral ones like those from Autodesk.

Does gameworks decrease performance. Of R9 290 or increase performance of 770
