First of all let me thank you all who helped me to get my PSU warranty.

Story :-D yeah, a small story in fact.
I decided to move on from generic PSU as it showed some issues and more over I was planning to get a new GPU.
So as usual I started a thread here and got finalised in Antec VP450P.
At that time snap deal had the low price, so gone with them. Ordered and got the item fast.
Was working fine for about 4 months. After that one morning, when I turned on pc, it won't. I tried again and again. Tried with my friends PSU, and the pc turns on. I was like :-(:-x:-x:-x, bought a reliable branded PSU and ended up like this..!!

Called snapdeal and they said, as 30 days is over, I can't return to snapdeal. They are helpless. Started searching service centers for Antec here in Kerala. From their Indian website, got some numbers. Tried calling them. Out of 10 there are only 5 numbers are working/informative. Guys who took the phone answered, they are only giving warranty/service to whom who have purchased from their shop.

One of friends said, he can get it repaired from his place. So I've sent PSU to him. But after some days he called me and said, there is no hope. He can't get it serviced due to some reason. Atlast, I decided to contact the seller on Snap deal. Seller was CORE TECH SOLUTIONS, delhi.
Called them several times. They said " sent mail to this e-mail, we will look" So I said okay, and sent the mail.
No response for 2 days. Again called them, the previous dialogue continues. The problem is when ever I call, different people are picking up the phone.
Fed up with this, some where in this forum, I mentioned my bad experience with ANTEC. Seeing that some friends here, PM'd me giving some numbers of regional managers. Thanks to that friend. Don't remember his name. I strated whatsapp'ing them. South manager, gave me chennai manger number telling that you contact this number. He gave me another number, telling to contact him...etc.. after 3 or 4 guys, I've ended up in this guy called Harpeet Sing Batia. The head of manager or something of Antec. He was kind enough to guide me through all the process. He told me courier the PSU to the seller. Till that time, core tech solutions said blah blah, and when I told them, I had a word with MR. Harpeetsingh, they told me to sent the product to them and they will check it out.

I thought, all problems are over. My friend couriered it through "Track on" courier. Which was cheap. 200rs from kerala to Delhi. Tracking was active, 4 days later it shows it has reached Delhi. I've contacted CORE TECH, they said, they didn't received any packages. I've contacted TRACK ON delhi, they are saying it has been delivered and the proof is in the site. I checked the proof. There is a sign and a number. When I contacted the number, guy on the other end was talking in Hindi. :-x I don't know hindi. I've told him to talk in English. But no use. Core tech continued to tell me that there were no packages got in their inventory. IMAGINE my situation. Am in Kerala, sent psu to delhi. Courier is saying delivered, receiver saying they didn't got it.
After wasting limitless amount of money for phone calls, those Bullsh**s in Trackon courier said that the product is not delivered/delivered to wrong address. Think if they are not delivered, how come there is a signature and a number there in the proof.

So after 15 days of struggle, the product got delivered into CORE TECH and Harpeet singh came and collected the item. And surprisingly gave me replacement. I thought they will repair it or something. But now it is on his way to me.

Thanks to [STRIKE]Harpeet singh and Core Tech and[/STRIKE] all friends here.

edit : customer is supposed to get good experience as a rule not as an exception.your experience regarding antec rma was nothing but bad & it is only because of members here that you were able to get replacement,no need to thank anyone else.I have edited the thread title to reflect this.

[STRIKE]Great RMA(Service) infact...[/STRIKE]

edit : not sure if you are being sarcastic so striking out the above statement.

Seeing this i will not recommend buying antec psu from anywhere except official stores & official online seller(theitdepot).

You can recommend Antec to anyone who are in metro cities or town. Dudes like us living in rural areas are the ones who get in this bad experience.

After this, for every purchase in online, I call and make sure that, service center is in my area and they are willing to take products purchased from online.

Which photos bro..? I ain't got damaged PSU

It is sad to know antec service is not so good especially for those people who are not living in any metro cities. jkultimate , I am also in the same boat enquiring about service centers for rma-ing a faulty(or blown) psu. What I gathered is , there are no service centers for antec. You have to send the product to whom you have purchased it from and wait for the rma process to be completed..
if you have bought the product online, you may not be able to contact online websites as most of them wont accepts products after 30 days of purchase. What antec tells is that you have to contact the online seller from whom you have ordered the product and ship the products to them. they will handle the rest.
So my advice to those who are going to purchase an antec psu, get it from any local shops. That might save you a lot of time and may be patience.

How is it a bad service if the courier guy is the one who mixed up the delivery? You shouldn't have given the unit to your friend. If its opened, then you void the warranty. When there's social networking with everyone having their own facebook page, even in India. You could have simply searched for it and left a message or send a PM about getting a solution. Things are easier to get information about what to do when things dont go according to plan.

But buying from a proper store like ITDepot and Prime ABGB helps a lot. They have their own site, so buy from them directly.

I've never said bad service. I just told my story of getting wartanty, as am from rural area. Yeah, the courier guy messed up, its right. In fact after getting the product, their process of replacement was like lightning fast. Only took 1 week, and another week to get to my hands.

rural areas will always have some problems when it comes to RMA. This is not just for India or developing countries.

Hmm, our only way is to purchase from IT shops, but they costs higher than online. That's the problem.

corsair is having a lot of rma going on. Kaizen seems to be managing it, but rate of rma spiked up. corsair india once claimed that they have only 1% RMA but according to the number I got to see, it crossed 10% for power supplies alone. best to buy good power supplies which is a bit expensive rather than taking a psu with HIT-OR-MISS. I think kaizen still ships to its users who RMAs the unit directly, but not sure.

not at-least in Kolkata. Even though they will ask for your address at the time of delivery you need to collect it from them. But at-least MD computer here is now selling Antec PSUs. So if I need to buy Antec I'll get from them.

a possible solution:
buy corsair psu & also get a cheap Rs.700 local psu, when corsair psu goes bad send it to rma & use the cheap one for few days(as corsair rma is good & fast) after taking out your gfx card & using onboard graphics & obviously no overclocking/loading cpu beyond 50-60%.:D

 BTW, What about Seasonic in small cities/town?

you will even find it difficult in metro cities(i guess so ;)). as topgear menationed, There's no gurantee that you will get a seasonic psu in Rma. also i heard if you dont buy seasonic psu from overclockerz zone, they wont even take it for rma.

Important Note:

The current Seasonic distributor for India (Tirupati Enterprises) is only honouring warranties for those units that are purchased directly from them. As of now, many dealers have reported that they are either not honouring warranty for Seasonic units distributed by them by creating some hassle during RMA process and referring them back to the dealer. Long story made short, they are making dealers to discourage them from selling online, though some stores have said that they're doing the same with physical stores who have their own site for selling online.

Why do they do this? Why doesn't Seasonic intervene? Unfortunately that's a question for another day. Simply put, unless you purchase from them (overclockerszone) you will end up facing hassle at some point. This has been happening for a while now.

As of now, stick with recommending other brands- Antec, Coolermaster, etc. Note that VS, CX and RM series should be avoided as of now. Note that reviews under certain series are advertising power supply reviews based on initial design/ components on first model. There is a level of bait-and-switch of components are happening along with newer rev, even changing OEMs at one point. Check the actual model number mentioned on the power supply reviews (on the pics showing power supply labelling). No issues with AX non-i series that I've heard so far.

Thermaltake is rumoured to be handled by Acro Engineering, but I am not sure of the RMA procedure and the reputation of Thermaltake PSU. I believe toughpower is a good option. I've also heard Antec switched to Acro Engineering, so available should be as good as Coolermaster IMO.

If you're buying from online marketplaces like Flipkart and Snapdeal, make sure its from 'overclockerszone'. You can always buy it from their website overclockerszone.com or something like that.

After reading your thread, I got Antec VP550P from a local store itself. :p
I paid more than the online prices though.
