Hello guys, I am planning to get myself an android phone next month(June).

I would like to know are there any new phones that are entering the market within next two months.
As of now I know only one - Wildfire S.
I am not looking forward to ChaCha and Salsa at all.

Apart from these phones is there any other phone around 15k?

Hauwei had announced two smartphones Ideos X5 and X6. Both with excellent features. Ideos X5 might be around 15-17k.

Olive has launched the rebranded version of ideos x6 as Olive smart sv300. Its listed at flpkart but as of now not available for sale. it might be around 19k. It might be the BEST buy for sub 20k, with 1 ghz proc, android 2.3, gpu, 5 Mp with flash, document editing, TV out, HDMI, 4.1 screen.

If the Wildfire S is priced somewhat closer to 15k, it's the sweet deal.

Hmmm...definitely no Olive/Micromax/etc Android phones.

As of now I am keeping P500 as my last option cause I am looking for devices coming directly with Android 2.3(Gingerbread)

I won't like waiting for manufacturers to provide update :-x
AFAIK XDA guys are yet to release a stable GB ROM for P500, when is the stable release expected?

BTW what is the expected price of Samsung Galaxy S Plus?20-22k?

Thanks!

PS: I am reading the review currently...

I think LG Optimus One is still the most VFM under 15k for Android category.

Samsung Ace probably won't get Android 2.3 so no point in getting it.

^Heck that phone doesn't even have a processor
Bad battery life for a 1450mAh battery.

sadly, Huawei won't release any of the mobile themselve but through some indian brand like Olive, Micromax, etc.

how much htc wildfire s will cost ?

anything below Ace price will be welcomed.

^Heck that phone doesn't even have a processor

it'll have some 500-600Mhz processor.

Bad battery life for a 1450mAh battery.

some rebranded chinese mobile. so expect battery life as such.

yes. as other manufacturers are

and what advantage will you get from it?

AFAIK XDA guys are yet to release a stable GB ROM for P500, when is the stable release expected?

the latest release is enough stable.

BTW what is the expected price of Samsung

more like 25k.

Don't worry, I'm not recommending it, I don't recommend non branded phones.

But Micromax is surely giving a sweet deal for that price.

Wildfire S expected to arrive in India next week according to this source.
Don't know how reliable the source is but hope so the news is true.

balanced mobile overall. so 600Mhz processor shouldn't hurt if HTC price it well. O1 is getting old & we need a proper replacement for it, rather than Samsung's 3.3" toys.

I'm thinking of buying O1 P500. My 1st smart phone in 4 years. Should I get it or wait for new phones like this htc?

O1 for 9000-9500 is best buy for now & few more months. cause WildfireS won't be sold for anything less than 14k. its MRP is said to be 16k. but depends upon your budget.

If your budget permits, wait for Wildfire S.

Optimus One is very good... Decent performance, decent battery, very good GPS (as opposed to crappy defective GPS on Samsung phones)... Awesome developer support...

Built quality is mediocre... but overall VFM phone.

So, IMO, either buy O1 or wait of Wildfire S.

mobile store list the price @ 10379. so local price should be at 9500 or maybe less (outside NE).
