My computer and some of my friend computer were infected by brontok virus/worm (a.k.a rontokbro) a few days back.

Anti virus like norton antivirus and bitdefender can remove and clean the infection.

but my problems are as follows:
1. folder options is remove by the virus
2. unable to start windows dialog with the file name located in \windows folder is appear at startup
3. cannot edit registry using regedit

problem no 3 is easily solve using
Tool to reset shell\open\command registry keys from symantec website

but i cannot resolve problem no 1 & 2,
therefore, i resort to setting up the operating system

does anyone know how to resolve problem 1 & 2 with setting up the operating system:confused::!:

 Download: Win32.Brontok.A@mm Removal Tool and error fixer

The removal tool will:

Find any Brontok-infected files on your computer
Kill the worm's processes
Restore acess to Regedit
Restore access to Folder Options
Restore the default values for those entries that the worm changes.
Delete (or fix) the startup entries related to the worm.

Removal tool from: BitDefender
