Someone tell me some bad points about MOTO E. Quick!! I want to convince my dad into buying MOTO G and not MOTO E.

Moto G gets software update atleast 1 day before Moto E does. Because Moto G was released first

crap camera without AF and flash, lesser screen resolution, lacks front cam, SD200 compared to SD400 on Moto G.
Camera is the single most disappointment.
You can't even shoot pics of written text. A pic taken with a Moto E comes like this, and no app can change that:

I found the new Moto g's camera very decent. I have no idea about zr, but I can confirm its Much better than Xperia L

THE BIGGEST BAD POINT: All good phones like, Android One, Moto G (2nd Gen), Moto X (1st gen) are available at Very discount price.
Also, Moto E available at heavy discount too.. so.. well.. nvm.
Discount only if you exchange an old phone.
