I m planning to purchase the best allrounder SE phone.
I m looking for
1)Top class sound quality
2)Top class camera
3)Good looks
4)I sud b able to send and recieve E-mails.
5)I sud b able to browse websites

Budget-20k
I have K850i,C902 & W902 in mind.

Im getting a 20k fone in a week too. Have the same requirements as u. K850i is old, c902 looks cheap n is not on par with the other alternatives available in this price range. I dont have idea bout w902 but read in a review that n79 is a better choice.

if ur still stuk on the SE craze, go for w902, else n79 is PERFECT . Chk out the thrd started by me with similar query but with nokia in mind.

N79 wont b perfect for me as it has neither top SQ nor top camera.
Infact N82 is better(top class camera but again falls short because of bad SQ)

Get the W902 if SQ and a good cam is your prime choice. You can also look at the Moto Zn5. Dont go for Nokia if you want superior SQ.

I dont have any doubt in my mind that Moto Zn5 has the best 5MP camera,excellent call quality because of crystal talk technology but the only thing I doubt is its SQ.Though I also know that its SQ is as good as Samsung i450(one of the best).
U had K850i which u sold.Pls comment on K850i.How good is it?
Though i m eagerly waiting for W902(still not in indian market).

N82 is great phone for all your options .

& i need some advice too , my budget is 12k to select the mobile i have selected N81 though camera is 2MP is enough , in all other case N81 is worth for my selection ??

Close ur eyes and go for K790i.Its the best.Excellent camera because of xenon flash and very good SQ.U can always use HPM 70 earphone to make its SQ better though u wud not find Megabass in it but even then the SQ is really good.What more do u want? If u can increase ur budget to 16k u can go for Moto zn5.Its damn good.

Are u sure Zn5 is that much good , i heared the camera 5Mp is not much good as N82 is it so ???

Get the Zn5, it has the best SQ from all the phones. The K850 is out of production as far as i know. If you are into modding, you can get the K850 at a cheap price and mod the acoustic drivers.you can put the W902 acoustics in it and make it sound like the W902. Also, the C902 is a good choice.I think it looks really good.A real style statement.

Believe me ZN5's camera is damn good because of its better colour reproduction than N82.And the phone overall is excellent,no doubt.
K810i (Wud cost about 12k)is not better that K790i(costs about 9.8k).K790i's SQ & camera is better than K810i.

I know for sure that C902's camera quality is very good though it lacks xenon flash.But I doubt its SQ.Though i m ready to purchase hpm 77 or 88 to enhance its SQ. The screen is small.

Dude,
N82 is a smartphone and Motorola ZN5 isn't.
Also Moto ZN5 has poor video recording capability.

So,
Which phone do u guys suggest me?

n79 cam is better than all these three se phones for sure. And with future firmware updates it will match or even can exceed those of n82. And if u use good earphones like ep 630 then sound quality should be a no issue.

W902 sound better obviosuly.Recent SE phones sound better than most phones.In fac, the C905 is just a rung below the innov8 and is better than the Pixon and the renoir, and its a cybershot.The W902 is way better.

ZN5 has a very good SQ, though it's not the loudest phone out there.The camera is very good, video recording is equally bad.Looks wise, nothing beats ZN5.

in case i love sony ericsson phones very much but they are now so much costly & not having larger screens .

spending 16k for Zn5 adding 3 k for the N82 really worth it , i am going to buy this week . N82 black for 19k
mainly uses Video @ 30Fps
camera is very good in N82 & no need to take digi cam with us while having the N82.

SOny Ericsson should bring the 5Mp & larger screen for 19k , so that next buyer could go for sony"

Sorry to say that N82 doesnt hav good SQ.
SQ of C902 is really good but not like W902 which is the brother of the king of SQ i.e W980.

No doubt that nokia 5800 XM is a marvellous phone but the camera sucks(3.2 mp).
Everything else is excellent.

The camera of C902 is just awesome.It takes very good pictures though it lacks xenon flash.The colour reproduction is also very good,better than N82 for sure.
Because of powerful xenon flash N82 takes better pictures during nights than C902.

nokia 5800 XM is not available in india.It would take some time.cost would be around 24k and not 21k as the rumour is.

5800XM will @ the price of 375euros + VAT , in india now only i heard from my friend after 17th december the phone is launched !!

N82 has 3G , Xenon flash , video @ 30Fps , WIFI , GPS , stylish comfortable , 2.4"inch TFT screen , ngage platform , SQ also ok but not bad as compared to anyphones which are having much features , somewhat good battery life !! then what its only for 19K

My friend told he is using the SONY earphone came with sony MP3 player for N82 , he told it great when hearing with that .

Dude u suggest me a good earphone which i can use with N82 and make it sound like W902 or at least very close to it.
If u can suggest me one I will close my eyes and go for N82.

The only issue i have with N82 is its bad SQ.Else its the best choice at 19k.

I can compromise with its bad looks and less brightness level.Well,I wud hack and increase its brightness level.

yaa me too little bit confused for its britness level and also the irritating SQ , my friend told that he is compromised by his own , see what mobile we can choose i too wana mobile with in 19k ,,

The bundled earphone is crap. Get urself an ep630 and it performs quite nicely. Not quite iPod level but definitely not as "Bad" as u paint it.

N85 has excellent SQ,far better than N82.But it lacks xenon flash,so inferior camera quality compared to N82.And N82 is faster than N85.
Moreover it will b out of our budget as it costs about 23k.

Ep630 has great sound quality and also is a VFM. Its the perfect replacement to the crappy Nokia earphones.
You might get some better earphones but most naturally expensive therefore no longer VFM for the slight SQ boost.

Ya the sound quality has slightly improved. But the firmware of the N82 and N85 are not same except for the core parts. But don't worry future firmwares usually increase SQ and might add misc. features to both the phones.

Guys i suggest you go read the reviews from some good reputed sites to get an actual idea. If you are still in doubt ask for a demo piece (if they have any) from the mobile shop and check it there with your own ears.

If you are really interested in SQ,get the SE W902.You wont look back.The W980 was comparable to the ipod in terms of Sq, and this is even better.

I did not notice much difference in sound quality between ver20 & ver30 firmware in n82 using n82 . n85 has excellent sound quality . Infact its first nseries device that sounds as good as if not better than my modded k750i

Dont go for the N85, pathetic build quality issues.

Its your hard earned money.Risk it if you want to.Refer here. There are many unlucky people i guess with too many issues.The N85 has the same design as of the N81 which was in itself an extrmely troubled device

There is nothing wrong with the sound quality of the N82. I have spent great time listening to both the N82 and the ZN5 back to back and I found them to be equally good. For all the hype of the Moto I expected it to be better by a wide margin but that wasn't the case. It is just marginally louder than N82, but despite that has only a 7-scale volume level compared to the 10-scale in N82. Plus the S60 player is much better than the Motorola player.

Overall if you are looking for both camera and music I would suggest Nokia N82. I have not yet heard the N79 but from what I read, if it is similar to the N96, which I also tested with these two phones, then it'll be better than N82 and ZN5.

There is nothing wrong with n85. Super fantastic device. apart from gps i dont have any problems with it. I am even liking it more then n82 which i used for 10 months.

u can check worldwide forums like symbian freak and see the truth for urself. Dont just go by one or two people's experience.

You are the first one to say N85 is good phone.My friend sold the mobile phone for 15K using only 2 weeks spending 22K for that mobile is really unfair .

The SQ really dump in N85 when compared to W902 , for getting N85 close ur eyes go for W902

W902 is really a great handset but only WI-Fi??

looks like early adoptars of n85 got some really faulty units. Mine is working like a charm.

Yeah its a very good phone. If u dont trust me then google search is just a click away. u can find user feedback from people across the world.

I was among the very first few ones who raved about n82 in this forum and now almost everybody praises that handset.

With time and future firmware updates n85 will rock for sure.
n85 music quality is excellent if used with ep 630. stock earphones are crap. it even sounds very good through bt headsets such as moto s9 , samsung sbh 500.

no idea abt w902. I dont like "non-os dumb" phones these days. If u really want a cam/music phone then motorola zn5 is a good choice.

Frankly speaking I was planning to buy N82 though I am really impressed with Sony Walkman phone's SQ.The SQ they produce is just awesome,there is no arguement.

N82 is a fantastic device.You get everything at just 19.5k.The only issue I have is its SQ(Though I haven't listened to it) and not so impressive looks(even the black one doesn't look good to me).

But but I can compromise on its bad looks and low brightness level.
But I can't compromise on its bad sound quality.

If I am sure that by using a good earphone like ep 630 its SQ can be as good as W810i I will change my mind and grab N82.

If anyone can please honestly confirm this for me?

But if u are still feeling paranoid then get the W902 for the Sony Ericsson Sound Quality.

If one is a bass freak and wants pounding bass in his ears then I would suggest going for the W902 with it's Mega Bass. But if one wants proper balanced sound then N82 is good enough. It's not that it lacks bass. There's plenty at the default level and more can be supplied with the help of the equalizer, but it cannot match the Mega Bass preset. I myself never use the Mega Bass preset whenever I am listening to any Walkman phone as I like balanced sound, but your mileage may vary.

Its high time people learn to appreciate the walkman phones.All reviews have rated the new walkman phones to the best in the business.Even the C905, which is a cybershot has been rated by phonearena to have better sound quality than the Renoir and the Pixon, which supposedlty have Dolby and Bang & Olufson inputs, and only a runf below Innov8.Nokia hpones have good sound Quality, but they dont come close to the new Walkman phones with Clear Audio settings.

Btw,Mega Bass is no longer present in SE Walkman phones with Clear Audio settings.Its CLear BASS now.

I have tested the C905 as well.

It's good but not much better than the G700 I have at home.

Exact price, I have no idea. It has come here at Techtree for a review. But still I'll be going to Alfa today and will check out the prices.

Get k810i and get a life

i got it just a week ago.....costed me 11.3k (including a 2GB RAM)...

go for this if ur budget is around 13k...worth buying....sound clarity is not bad but not comparable to walkman phones....

Thanks forgot about the equalizer. Don't use the default one. Customize it.

Its just that W902 produces extra bass as krazy suggested but that does not mean N82 has bad sound quality. Its just like the case of two kids getting first & second rank respectively but only by a small margin.And furthermore N82 beats it in other departments like cam etc. So nothing perfect.

The sound quality has come a long way from the 6600 era

I don't see any discussion going on about the newly announced G705. It looks awesome and has great features. It hasn't been launched yet, so the price remains undisclosed. But I'm assuming it to be around the 20K mark.

dude..i personally think n79 has better style statement than 82..the keys r GR8 2 use n the xpress smart covers seriously look sexy...i doubt 82 can match its style statement...the earphones bundled give avg sound but with ep630 it sounds GR8!! 30fps video recording took 5 different videos yesterday n they rok!! mast smooth videos although at night time outdoor videos are grainy , in this case n82 wud be better...but in most of the cases the videos were good...as for the camera, its decent but nothing spectacular...

im only telling u since i c u r confused if 82 is best buy for 20K...thats upro u..if ur not all crazy for the best cam, go for the other choices available.. w902 is a gud choice if u want gud SQ
