Preferably around 35k. Can extend upto ~40k

2. Display type and size?
Type : Any,
Size : Not small or big. Approx. around 4.7in to 5.2in would be fine.

3. Dual sim?
Ok with it but not mandatory

4. Preferred choice of brand?
Sony, LG, Google nexus. (except HTC ).

5. What camera option you want (flash, front facing camera)?
8MP and above, should have nice features like optical image stabilization, flash, etc

6. Preferred operating system? (Android, iOS, Windows Phone, etc).
Android only (preferably kitkat)

7. Preferred connectivity options (3G, 4G ready).
3g. 4g also ok. Must have wifi hotspot

8. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, internet, gaming etc)?
Daily usage will be with camera, internet and wifi, music and movies, some gaming.

9. Any specific mobile phones in consideration?
Personally liked below 3 models, pls comment ur thoughts
Sony Xperia Z1
LG G2 (32GB)
Google Nexus 5 (32GB)

Expecting good after-sales and service support during and after warranty. (Had a bad experience with HTC)

G2 is best among all the models you'd specified, I'd say go for it. Do get the D802T i.e the 4G edition. Other option for you is HTC m8 but you'd listed them out.

My suggestion is G2, is satisfies all your requirements, specially the rare ones like opticalimage stabilization and screen size.

This is a bad time for buying a next gen mobile. When Nexus 6 is about to get launched in about 1.5 months.
Only if you can wait though, that I would suggest to get N6.

If you want OIS then you will have to stick with LG, so G3 I suppose. Or maybe G2. I know G3 has OIS but no idea about G2.

G2, just like Nexus 5, has OIS.

@op go for G2. Best camera imo. Also the best screen size to phone size ratio.

Wow. Thanks all for your responses guys.

I've no problem in waiting a bit more for nexus 6 then, but have a few queries.
a) What is the approx cost when it is released.
b) Also will it have expandable storage or limited one like the current nexus 5.

As for G2, the spec looks great. But I've heard that the UI and the buttons are tricky to get used to. Any thoughts about its usage?

My friends most of them suggesting me to go for either xperia z1 or z2.

a) The cost would be more and less or around current price of N5 32 GB model.
b) Guessing from all other Nexus released prior, this would also be having non expandable storage. But it doesn't matter if it have 32 GB of space and support OTG right?
If it does, you better get HTC E8.

I think Xperia is out of the league. They are only recommended by Sony fans. No offense to actual Sony phone users. :p

Well, since you don't seem to be interested in a development friendly phone and Custom ROM, or into best looks like HTC One, or Ubuntu Touch or getting latest Android updates first, I guess what you choose is Ok.

I would have chosen HTC One M8 which also have Infrared (for using as a Remote), seemed to have better 4G support, and also much cooler than Xperia Z2. But that's just me.

Camera and battery seems to be way better in Xperia Z2 than HTC One M8 though. I guess those were more important for you than looks!

Congrats for new phone.

No bro. Its been 2 weeks since I bought it, still now there are no heating issues. The main attraction is its battery, it can stand upto 1.5 or 2 days, even with the 3g and as wifi-hotspot for my laptop.

2. Nexus 5
3. Gionee Elife E7
4. One Plus One ( if u can get one from USA)

Moto X has just 16GB internal memory, which isn't enough acc. to me. In future you might want more storage & investing in a 32k phone with just 10GB user available memory, it isn't good. Better to get Z2/ G3

Why buy N5/E7/One plus one, when you have a 40k budget & can get a better phone with better after sales.
Note: After sales of N5 is by LG, so it's good. But it has average battery life & camera.
