piyush, again did some mistake.

Intel:

Core i7 950 (buy next month)
MSI X58 Pro
6Gb DDR3 ram (brand depends upon availability)
POV/Zotac GTX460 768/1Gb in SLI

AMD:

Phenom II X6 1090T
Gigabyte/MSI 890FX (can go for 890GX also)
4Gb DDR3 1600Mhz (same as above)
HD5870 1Gb GDDR5 (or 2*HD5850)

2X1Tb WD Black.
Corsair HX 700-750W (not sure whats the wattage of the 7*0W PSU)
CM HAF 932/X

NOTE: i7 950 is faster than X6 1090T. but X6 can be OC to 4Ghz with good cooler. also 2*HD5850 will beat 2*GTX460. so research yourself whats best for you & go for it. i think total cost will be within your budget.

if you can get this, its a monster -

Core i7 950 @ 13.8k (get it next month as mentioned by sam)
MSI X58 Pro-E @ 10.8k
Gskill 6GB 1600 DDR3 Trident Kit @ 8.1k
Zotac GTX470 1280MB GDDR5 * 2@ 44k
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB @ 4.5k
Corsair TX850W @ 7.3k
Cooler Master Storm Scout @ 6.1k
Dell 23" SP2309W Full HD LCD Panel @ 14.4k

Total - 109k

otherwise get Zotac GTX460 in SLI @ 28k instead of GTX470 in SLI @ 44k

even i7 can be oced to that level with a good cooler!
not always hd5850 CF if better than GTX460 SLI. in some cases 460 sli performs better. moreover it gives physx along with better tessalation making it cheaper and better buy.

Aug 30, 2010 at 8:43 PM
^^ yes. GTX460 SLI scales well in some games, some games prefer Xfire.

^liked Jas's config.

go for it but I think it will be good to go for GTX460X2 in SLI. The thing is there is no need for X6 on desktop level. i.e not much desktop apps use 6cores so Instead of going for the X6 1090t.. its better to invest in i7 950 for such a good budget. Not always the number of cores help the clock speed also helps.

Also you should try the WD Raptor and the left over budget in Razer Gaming Gears

+1 to jas
2*460 instead of 470
Jaskanwar Singh
Aug 30, 2010 at 9:07 PM
^^now why so??
i dont think there will be any heating probs in such a good case. moreover the psu is also very solid one.
gtx470 sli is currently on the 2nd rank in performance next to gtx480 sli.

in fact, this isn't a new look. This was the look it had before it was changed to what we were using lately. So it is the older look

if i am seeking for future proof what r the rolls of i7 930 or 950 vs 1090t i mean which is better

and if i cant wait then now which one i have to buy?

i am thinking 1090 to buy instead of i7 930 or waiting for one month for i7 950 price decreasing
Jaskanwar Singh
Aug 31, 2010 at 10:03 AM
950 is definitely much superior than both. moreover since you wont be upgrading for 4 years 950 is the way to go. moreover for crossfire and sli setup x58 chipset is the best.

a GTX 470 SLI setup would run really hot and the power consumption will be MUCH more than a GTX 460 SLI setup, the GTX 460 in SLI consumes 20W more than a single GTX 480, so just see the difference.
