my friend is going to buy a new laptop,he wants core i5 only.

budget is 40K+2k (tolerable).

usually for virtual applications like vmware, and browsing, watching movies(HD)..should have good speed for other applications like video converters also.

fixed spec:
14 ' screen.(not above this).
4 GB DDR3 1333 Mhz,
320 GB 7200 rpm
rest of the config whatever may be

any good brands..?

If we wanna buy a laptop then just head to dell... the best in laptops

For Core I5 you need to spend atleast 48000INR but here are alternate options for you in your budget

you got 2 options in that budget

1. Dell(TM) Studio 14 Laptop (S541037IN8) = Rs. 44900 + tax [ core i3 processor, windows 7 home premium , 3gb ram , 320gb hdd , 14" Hd 720p wled display , ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5450 - 1GB graphics card.

2. Dell™ Inspiron 14 New Laptop (S541214IN8) = Rs. 35,900 + tax [ Intel® Core™ i3-330M Processor (2.13Ghz, 4Threads, 3M cache) , 4gb ram , 500GB 5400RPM Hard Drive , 14.0 HD WLED Glossy (1366x768) display , Intel® HD Graphics card.

If we are a student or a programmer , then option 2 is best for you , not only it saves you money but more hdd space and latest processor

If you wanna be designer or art side , then go for option 1 , it has 1gb graphics card which is first to introduce by dell.

hope this helps you :);-)

thanks guys for u r suggestions, but i don't want 1 GB graphics, i am not going to play any high end games, just normal HD for watching movies..
i heard that if we get it from dell outlet it will be less and they will give without win 7 and other software's!,only DOS.

if i get it through a dell employee will it be cheaper..?
