also check Grand 2 if you can find it under 20k though unlikely. Slightly big but should slip into pocket. check user reviews about battery life at flipkart. most samsung budget phone have extremely poor battery backup.

L90's display resolution is low but so is its screen size. Also cost 5k less than Grand 2.

Go for Moto G 16GB if 4.5" is sufficient.

Don't go for chinese brands like Gionee etc, moto g or grand should cover your needs. Also see if you can manage the LG G Pro lite.

<4.5 inch Moto G

Rest LG G Pro lite and Grand are crap phones with low hardware!
Elife E6 is a much much better phone than this two!

What if they are Chinese?Do you know that Chinese Xaiomi is in top 10 phones after Samsung and Apple!
There's not even a sing phone of LG or Sony!

So not all Chinese companies are terrible!

I'm okay with the hardware, but I'm not okay with the after sales. Does Xaiomi/Gionee have official presence in India? Afaik gionee is presented by a 3rd party company in India: Gionee Mobile India | Contact Us and Xaiomi doesn't even have a website.

And I'm not sure where you got your sales figures from, but this disagrees completely:

Gartner Says Annual Smartphone Sales Surpassed Sales of Feature Phones for the First Time in 2013

I don't see Xaimai or whatever/Gionee anywhere in those lists. Huawei is making good and has come a good long way, they have established good service as well as presence all over the world, and they are a major OEM vendor, not sure about Yulong, heard they made a fortune selling ipad clones.

If Karbonn works then wait and get Karbonn titanium octane plus
16mp rear+8mp front
Kitkat
Octa core!!! (most heavy games won't use more than 4cores)
5inch FHD
Rest are also eye candy

But still it's advisable to wait for release and reviews

Sells doesn't reflect quality of phone. Micromax is 2nd largest smart phone company in india does it mean micromax is better than Sony.

That sales do not determine the rating! They are just analytical figures to measure Quarter-Quarter Profit /Loss

Get Grand 2

Update of a crap is also crap!
Such best selling phone and Grand 2 doesn't get 1080p!

Grand was absolute crap but sold like hot cakes because of the growing trend of phablets, aggressive marketing and lastly it was the only budget phablet. Grand had WVGA resolution whereas Grand 2 resolution got bumped all the way to HD. moreover, Grand 2 is priced at 20-21k (launched @ 24k). You can't expect a 20k device from a top tier mobile OEM to have FHD display. Overall, other than the same age old looks, there is no similar between Grand and Grand 2.

To conclusion,Grand 2 is a shear waste of money!

Guys how is lenovo k900, Intel 2ghz chip, 2gb ram around 20k.

My bro may drop the plan for dual sim. We were at croma store to try out different screen size fones. 6 inch Sony t2 ultra was perfect for him to view but bit difficult to carry, ram is also bit let down(350 free). 5 inch fones are compromise, 5.5 inch would be perfect trade off for him.

As a brand Gionee can't compete with Samsung, Sony........ due to after sales mainly...........

E6 is good but still........ it doesn't support dual sim

Hi,
The Galaxy Note 3 Neo is around 34k at Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo Price in India - Buy Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo Black 16 GB Online - Samsung: Flipkart.com - so I doubt Duos version will be 25k...

If you can go for 25k, why not check out the Sony T2 Ultra Duos...

Increasing budget for 5.5+ display fones as my bro has vision issues.

T2 ultra slightly bigger to pocket may be better for ladies. Free ram on demo unit in croma was just 347 mb, sony should have added 2gb ram & just because of this we did not booked it. Did not find display that appealing though. 20k is right price for it IMO.

Huawei Honor 3x may be launched here around 17500 as per smartprix
