hd 7950 3gb boost one costs from 21.5 - 22k which will overshoot your budget + in ankush rig you need add 1k more for seasonic psus so it will be at 55-56k.

overall hd 7870 xt boost is really bang for buck ,which performs just 2-4% slower then hd 7950 (non boost).

choice is yours.

What is the speed of that Ram? Please post the model number if possible. If it matches with the speed and Cache Latency of the Ripjaw Ram then it will work fine.

i suggest op to get amd rig & probably ovrclk a bit to overcum low per core performance

but if op has no intrest in overcloking then intel is way to go

now its on op....

AMD BE processors comes with a very good(as a stock cooler) cooler with dual copper heat pipe design. So you can expect some decent overclock on that CPU.

AMD FX-6300 vs Intel Core i5-3470

on the basis of OP is need and budget FX 6300 is good.
its performence is just bit less then i5, but price is 3.5k^ less plus if you want i5 you have to stuck with b75 board which is not at all good, in future when you need more performence then OC fx 6300 and it perform far better then i5.
on b75 mobos all features of i5 will not be utilised so if you just want INTEL then increase budget by 3-4k and get z77 mobo.
as lga1155 is gone you will not able to upgrade i5 systam, but am3+ sockets still have good upgrade capability.

buddy donot get z77 mobo with non-oc cpu.that is the fullish thing -wasting your money

i suggest get H77 mobo around rs 6000-6500 from asus and gigabyte only.no msi and asrock mobos

this is for reference only.you will get in local store at cheaper rate

Well b75 mobos can actually handle even i7s due to their similar tdp's. On amd's side we dont have any mobo which can take a 125w processor leave alone overclocking.
I5>fx 6300 in any scenario + as op told, he is not into overclocking i5 is the right choice.
7870xt performs similar to hd 7950(non boost) unlike someone who suggested it trails by 5%, although it has lower efficiency.
Op buy a similar ram to the one you have for minimal issues in setup.
Hope I helped :)

And z77 is better than h77 if you go with an i5, you can overclock by 4 bins without even touching voltages. So get that msi mobo, but I think msi has left india so warranty hassles??
harshilsharma63
Jun 5, 2013 at 6:41 AM
^ buddy, msi has closed operations in India, so no sense in buying an msi product. And are you sure there aren't and amd boards which can handle 125 W cpu?
rijinpk1
rijinpk1 #30
Jun 5, 2013 at 8:12 AM
Again misunderstanding. That msi board is H77 and not Z77.
Op can go for gigabyte ga h77 d3h. Or an asus one. Also intel dh77eb is a good which i currently have.

The specs are almost same as higher priced intel dh77eb and this board has the capability to support k series cpus. But I could not see any reviews online. specwise it is a good choice.

afaik most mobos from & after 780 chipset(from old AM2/AM2+ days) supports 140W tdp CPUs.

suggested mobo ASUS M5A97 R2.0
