Your query should be here:

Anyway, what's the budget? Since you want AMD, I have listed some popular processors with their prices.

For budget ~ 6000, you have 3000+ for 6000 bucks.
For budget ~ 8000, you have 3200+ for 8000 bucks.
For budget ~ 11000, you have 3500+ for 11000 bucks.
For budget ~ 27000, you have dual core X2 4200+ for 26500 bucks.

Best in what....
why cant u guys even ask proper questions....

May be ur question needs this answer.... this processor has 8 cores.... so why talk about dual cores...

and next time ask a proper question....

anyhow if u wanted to know this....

AMD Athlon 64 FX57 San Diego 1GHz FSB Socket 939
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Toledo 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Dual Core
AMD Dual-Core Opteron 280 Italy 1GHz FSB 2MB L2 Cache Socket 940

why not go for X2 4800+... that's a better choice i must say..... better for future....

there will be 2-3% difference in gaming (Fx-57 will be better) but on other things X2 is better choice... you always have more than 1 thread running in ur PC so the 1 thread arguement does not make much sense.
