Intel Dual Core E2160
ASUS P5GCMX (has onboard grafix)
1GB DDR2 667MHz RAM

-->Totals to exactly 6000/-

And there are cheap grafix card available like XFX 7200GS 256MB for 1300/-. You can buy if you wish to but onboard will be enough IMHO.

hmm......why not ? :razz:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+
ASUS M2N MX-SE (has onboard grafix.....6150SE from NVIDIA)
1GB DDR2 667MHz RAM

--> Totals to 5875/-

For the grafix, my suggestion remains the same.

E2140 @ 2.5k
Transcend Value 1GB DDR2 667MHz @ 0.7k
MSI G31 @ 2.5k

Actually the Intel config I gave performs better than this as it has E2160 BUT yours has a G31 IGP which is better than 945 IGP :|.

For AMD, get atleast Zotac GF8200 for 3.4K if you want HD video decoding. I doubt your 6150 can do HD. :?

Yes...and 2140 can be upped(OCed) to 2GHz easily(if not 2.5GHz) even by a newbie..

so aftr that..onboard sloution dependent
