1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: gaming, solidworks, Catia and gaming again :p
Games which I plan to play are all the titles released after 2012.
Till as long as the config plays the future ones

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:38k +2k at max

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:nope

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: win 7 probably

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500gb atleast. If the budget allows then I'm fine with 1Tb too :p

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: I'll be buying a new one
20-21"
HD minimum

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: let's just ignore speakers for the time being

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: this month itself

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: no idea. Might even do it myself. But haven't done it before

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: chandigarh and open to buying online as well

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I was planning to buy a laptop earlier but then seamon and my brother have whitewashed my mind :p

You may buy a Nvidia Quaddro card later(in the 2nd or 3rd year) when more intensive CAD work shows up.

I couldn't find the R7 250x that too for 7000
Ita just on snapdeal for 8.5k
Fk has the R7 250 for 6.4k
Much difference between these two?

- - - Updated - - -

And could you tell me which one of the fx6300?
Snapdeal has a 3.5 and a 4.4ghz version
Both priced identically

cheapest i could find is SAPPHIRE GRAPHICS CARD R7 250X 1GB DDR5 (R7 250X 1GB DDR5 - 11229-00-41G - 840777065860 - 10,985.00). you may get a better deal locally. r7 250 is not a replacement for 250x.

What's the difference between gigabyte GA 970a ds3 and the gigabyte GA 970a ds3p??

DS3P has USB3.0 header for front panel connections where as DS3 has USB2.0 header only.

:p

LE version is cheaper and less than 5.5k i suppose. and The LE lacks heatsink on its VRM and has a 4pin CPU connector (instead of the 8pin).

another difference between ds3 and ds3p is that the former officially doesn't support '125W fx83/81xx' processor

If I buy the pc now then it'll sit at home idle
So that's why I was thinking of waiting till the training ends

go for the 40k rig but instead of 7770 switch to 750 Ti. 265 is fast but that'll stretch the PSU. instead 650 Ti should fit in your budget plus PSU will have some breathing space.

But the performance difference is huge!
And yet the price identical :(
How exactly will it hinder the psu?
