yup heres the solution

step1 ...remove a logical drive the last one from windows diskmanagement ....(right click on MY COMPUTER ICON and click manage and go to storage ...u will figure out easily ...

step2..)

Now boot using the cd

step3..) Follow the instruction carefully and when asked install grub as boot loader

step 4 u will now find a dual boot system.

step 5 after successfull installation do tell me

Then i think, your BIOS is very old, since you say its a Celeron 400Mhz.. You might want to upgrade your motherboard firmware to get rid of all the problems.

For making a boot floppy, look inside your dosutils folder. You will see some kernel images.. look for a floppy boot file. and then use the rawrite.exe utility to write the boot floppy...

The CD might also be having documentation on how to use the boot floppy using rawrite utility.
