I have windows XP OS and use outlook express 6. I want to delete a mail account but can't find >tools>accounts in the drop down menu. What has happened? Help!

Try a repair before reinstallation and before all that as ice said, post a screen shot.

nah.. i don't think anything is wrong.. just go to customize toolbars and see if you have disabled that menu item.. even if something is wrong with outlook express, how can a menu item disappear like that?
Customisation works for toolbars, not menu items. You can't select which menu items should appear and which shouldn't. You can only select which one of the menu items appear on the toolbar. Here the problems is with the menu, not toolbar.
