If the 232.88 GB is your new hard disk then it already has three partitions. Right click on them to delete them, and then make partitions.

Ahh !
You don't get it.
i have tried that before.
Please watch the pictures carefully.
The new one are showing simple and dynamic not basic.
I want to make primary and logical partition on my new HDD like the older one is showing.
Is that possible or not ?

Yes it is, but you'll have to use a little different approach.

Download this gparted live cd iso (not zip) 94.9 MB
*sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=115843&package_id=271779

and burn it to a cd.

Then boot from it. It is one of the best partition managers I've used.

And better remove all those dynamic volumes and make it all basic

I use 'Partition Magic Pro' and it does the job for me. Even i had a problem where i couldn't make any partitions but this software helped me so check it out. Plus its only 20-25 Mb file.

Use Gparted as I have suggested above. You can resize your partitions easily.

why make too many partitions.

create only 3 or max 4 is suff.. too many partitions like a garbage.

i have 3 disk (2 x 80 GB, 1 x 160 GB)

and my partitions

Disk - 1
C:\ 16 GB for Windows
D:\ 55 GB for Softwares

Disk - 2
E:\160 GB for Movies

Disk - 3
F:\80 GB for Videos
