Open regedit and goto:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

now delete DisableTaskMgr in right-side pane. ;)

Thank you !:DThat was real damn quick....need more help(shameless?)

As I confessed befor I was playin around wid gpedit.msc, etc and I remember disabling all startup items. The problem is that now I have an antivirus software installed(Avast Home Edition v4.7) ,it does not autostart at boot. This is real bad since that wud mean I dont have realtime protection!!!Help...I want to revert that disabling thingy I did.

Type msconfig in RUN and goto Startup tab and then enable the desired items again. ;)

It is as shameless as it gets:D btw.I have not done this before so i don't know if it would work but here is the path back to that place-
run
type gpedit.msc
select comp. config.
then administrative templates
then system
in system select logon
in the right pane right click on -run these programs on logon
select properties
and this should be the place where you disabled it.
or try the easier way of vishal:).But my way will give you more experience:D:D.
