I just signed up for a live.com account. I connected my Google and Facebook accounts to it, and found that I can chat with my online Facebook and Google friends right from the Outlook chat window.

So I was wondering whether I can chat with my Facebook and Google friends from my own custom website using my own custom interface.

I have often come across a protocol called OAuth. Is it possible to achieve the above using that?

You could either make a java applet or you could use something like this : *strophe.im/strophejs/
