A10 and a HD7770 is not a good combination,at all. A10 makes sense when sombody is not gonna buy a separate/discrete GPU.

Considering the other design and visual effects software you are using I would recommend you to go with HD7850 + FX8350.

Guys...ANSYS, 3DS max, solidworks, <---- Dual Core for this is horrible. ANSYS in heavy loads even puts quads into trouble.
OP If you use these software extensively or they are important to you then Do not go for anything less than a True Quad Core & 8 GB of Ram.
Sainatarajan
Apr 12, 2013 at 3:50 PM
Dont opt for dual core . Stick with the quad core config suggested by dusu94

Apr 12, 2013 at 4:35 PM
Ok I have removed ANSYS, 3DS max, solidworks, not a present three year pririty ... Other things remaining same....

Ok Quad core seems preferable ... So basic mobo + processor + graphics + RAM -->

Mobo: GIGABYTE MOTHERBOARD GA-B75M Rs 4121
Processor: Intel i5 3450 Rs 11288
Gpu: Asus GTX 650 TI 1GB DDR5 Rs 9792
RAM: Corsair Value Select 4GB - Rs 1500

Does everyone happy with this combination or are there any better alternatives for this!

Please share,

Change the UPS toa APC BackUPS 600VA Rs 2150.
If you are planning to game in 1920x1080 a GTX660 is minimum that you should buy.
In this rig, your spending on the GPU is comparatively low compared to the processor despite it being the one of the most important component. So its not balanced.

My two cents.

if choosing i5, anything below a 660gt will be considered weak.
if choosing 650ti, anything above i3 will be an overkill in most cases.

[i3 + 650ti] or [i5 + 660] choose between two.

@ 1080p, [i3 + 650ti] will flawlessly run most current games with medium high settings and [i5 + 660] at ultra settings, but for future games(after 2 yrs), it may not be true even for a [i5 + 660]. 1080p gaming is kinda falls into very demanding segment.

if buying 660, go for 500w psu instead of 430w.

At this particular price point, I guess going AMD would mean better VFM. :)

Get a 550W to 600W PSU. It will help you in long run. 430W may be inadequate in future if you go for a High Power GFX. 600W Keeps your options open. PSU & Cabinet are pretty much only future proof parts so invest wisely in them.

The price of The Processor, i5 3450 is little high. When I have checked last time in Kolkata, i5 3550 was available at 11.7K which is better than i5 3450.

i think i5 3570 (non k) is available for 12k. A member reported it in some thread here in TDF few weeks back.
