Android 2.3 Gingerbread has the highest total crash rate, at 1.7%. Other versions of Android — Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, and KitKat — have a crash rate of 0.7%.iOs 7.1 has a crash rate of 1.6%., and the rates for iOS 7.0 and iOS 5 are 2.1% and 2.5% respectively. So android is better than iOS or vise versa..??

The OS was stable. But the apps at that point of time were not, I guess.

OP has not specified whether those are OS crashes or app crashes.

well, don't think the data is meant for consumers, but finding the OS version with the lowest crash rate is not enough
guess there is a particular device with a particular OS version number that will have the lowest crash rate
