4GB is useless unless you have a fast enough core which is rarely the case in Indian laptops.

Depends on your requirement, if it is gaming, then 2 gig GDDR5>4 Gigs of DDR3, but if it is running professional applications(rendering and all) then 4GB DDR3 might help more.

+1 to your point altough IMHO pro applications will run alright without much difference on both unless you are rendering and editing hour long hd videos.
wat is the use of having 4gb vram if the channel is not fast enough to use it efficiently ?
