Major difference between them is that 810i has edge whereas 700i does'nt.

the differences are that w810i comes packed with 512mb card whereas w700i has a 256mb card plus w810i has a black body and edge connectivity

w810i comes with EDGE ,better sound quality, autofocus and a 512 mb card.
w700i has no autofocus ,no EDGE and comes with 256 mb card.

Both have exactly the same audio quality.

well,aryayush, everybody has different ears,right? I have just bought the w700i and compared it with my friend's w810i and I felt the w810i's music quality to be better.....sorry if it hurt ur views.............

neville23, my w700i cost me Rs.13,750. w810i costs around 20k.

LOL! Why should it 'hurts' my views... or anything else, for that matter!
I just corrected you because Sony Ericsson does not mention anywhere that they decreased the audio quality of W700i. AFAIK, all WALKMAN PHONES with the obvious exception of W550/600i have the same audio quality. Maybe you have some different settings than your friend.
