basically core duo is for laptop , core 2 duo is for desktop , both are 64 bit .

core 2 duo is available in lappys also...

Then what is diff between Dual Core & Core 2 Duo? Core 2 Duo is also dual core.

All laptop proccy having the Yonah core r called core duo.

dual core means having two cores , basically like 2 processors in one package , core 2 duo comes under category od dual core , AMD also has a dual core lineup and also Pentium D is dual core .

That is what I have been exactly requesting difference between PD dual core and Core 2 Duo. They both are dual core, isn't it?

core duo is used only in laptops...
also all proccys having the yonah core r core duos andd tose wit the conroe core r c2ds.. and c2ds > core duos..
