directx 9c problemo!!!!

hey every1!
actually i m facing this problem tat i m not able to install directx9.0c.when i install it actually the message comes components installed and ready to use but when i try to run games like battlefield2 and source and 3d max7 they say u require directx9.0c!what shd i do now?
i have this windowsxp professional edition already embeded with sp2.
please help!

If its embedded with SP2, it already has dx 9.0c. Cause SP2 includes DX 9.0c!

goto Run in start menu and type dxdiag.exe
here u can view wat ver u hv installed and whether it has any errors.. and whthr it is workin properly..

strange!!!

buddy in my case its directx 9.0b and even dxdiag is showing that there is directx 9.0b!!!
