my system is xp-pro with integrated sp2,directX 9b .my problem is that directx 9c refuses to install.i have tried to install from many sources but not helpful. dxdiag also shows problem of old version.i miss games that require directx 9c.

Uninstall DX 9b using DX ERADICATER .than install DX9c
u can should download direct x 9.0c from microsoft's website(if u haven't done that)
he has completely written directx refuses to nstall then why to downoad from ms website

firstly,i was having directx 8.1 that comes with windows installation.then i tried to install 9c ,but it won't.after trying many times even i downloaded it from ms website,it all goes in vain.so i install 9b .
install xp service pack 2 and then install direct x 9.0c

bud hez mentioned that has XP SP2+DX integrated ..so do u expect to install sp2 again???
BUD DX 9.0b had lots of problems..and as u have it integrated so less chance that u can install 9.0c
what u can do is install XP then install SP2 seprately..it comes with 9.0c
