Hello All...

A friend of mine runs an internet cafe & has faced this problem of customers changing the Administrator password of Windows XP on the machines...

Is there any way (By employing GPedit) to disable the password option in XP?? I mean to say that XP shud not ask for a password neither shud there be any option to enter a password for the administratos account...

Any ideas?? Looking forward to replies...TiA

Why is the Administrator account being used without a password? It is not safe... Set a password so that customers cannot access it... Create a second account for the customer and set it to "Limited account". Under User Accounts, you can set the limited account to "user cannot change password"

@ sakumar79

We do run XP with the administrator password, but there were a couple of cases where the password was hacked & changed, & that caused us a lot of trouble...

@vinaypatel

Thanx for your solution..

also check "user cannot change password" this will take care of people who actually dont know anything more than changing password....
