I often use Android studio, emulators like BlueStacks, LDPlayer & Android Virtual Device.
Had problems mentioned at Reactivating apps after reinstall windows 10
Seatool has failed in short dst & long generic test. Crystal disk shows caution for 05, C5 and C6.

Its not the heavy app but the total read/write cycle the HDD can sustain.

Do the mentioned programs have large read write cycles which would have caused the problems?

^^You will have to monitor it when its running in Task Manager. How many many disk read/writes it is making. Use some info tool to generate the disk report.
