Does Windows 7 and XP work in Windows 8 laptop as well as touch functionality ?

Hi all,

I'm planning to buy Dell Inspiron I15RM-4634SLV which 15.6" touch screen with Windows 8 OS.

If I install Windows XP or Windows 7, does the touch functionality compatible with these Operating Systems as well or not ?

Check the drivers on Dell support site. There is some chance that it might work. I have a Sony laptop without touchscreen that came with win 8. Installed 7 and then installed the drivers for 8. Sony doesn't provide drivers for 7 for laptops that come with 8 preinstalled. Everything except the WiFi driver worked fine.

Less chance. Win 7 might be but not like win8.
