the problem is not with the rig , its with the drivers..download latest drivers for ur card..
this problem usually occurs while watching movies if there's a conflict

installing latest drivers will solve this issue..and do not install beta drivers , if any

and download drivers from nvidia.com

For vista 32-
*us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/175.16/175.16_geforce_winvista_32bit_english_whql.exe

For XP-
*us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/175.16/175.16_geforce_winxp_32bit_english_whql.exe

Yes u should. But i don't think the drivers will stop working because of low-power. Low-power normally causes BSOD and system crash or restart with a flick.
coolest111
May 14, 2008 at 10:17 AM
BSOD and system crash or restart with a flick is not happening...........
it just hangs in xp and i have to close all the applications...........

i thinks drivers were needed to be updated i have downloaded the xp ones and now where the computer was hanging is not hagging now in xp......let me see for more time.........

more results will be uploaded soon here................

and in vista it tell in taskbar "graphics drivers stoped working and they have been recovered..........." something like this very frequently in vista

Sorry for late reply.............

Experience with new drivers(175.16) is better in both the OS but it is not completely removed.........

pls help....

Yes its the same page. Just select Motherboard> Socket 775> P5G-MX and download whatever u can.
And also download Utilities according to yr Operating System. They will keep u updated with new drivers.

Try to clean & resit your gfx card properly.
Try another gfx card.

I think changing the psu will solve all the problems as 250W psu is too low for todays system. Buy at least a 450W psu from brand susch as cooler master, corsair, vip etc..

Is your gfx card ( it it have one ) is running properly ?
Also try to update your gfx card bios.

Have you tried any other gfx card on that pci-e slot. Clean the slot properly & resit your gfx card.
Also try a higher wattage psu such as 450W or above & post the result ?
If all that failed your gfx card may be faulty & you need a replacement !

For software - I'll suggest to run a 3D mark 2006 Benchmark & see what happens.
It will stress & put a heavy gpu intensive benchmark.
But I think replacing your card is the way to go.

I think your card is getting over heated. Can you post the temps of your gfx card & processor card in these condition :

1. @ system startup ( I mean when you got into your os )
2. After 1 hour simple work.
3. After half or one hour heavy gaming
4. After 1 or two hour movie watching.

For all these download rivatuner :
*downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=163

Or Gpu-Z:

PLease post the temps in text format coz for some reason I'm not able to see the attached image , If I click on the link Iam only getting the link on the browser window.

May 29, 2008 at 4:00 AM
temperature are(frm xp coz vista cant run for 30 mins:():-
gpu card
@ system startup ( I mean when I got into os ) = 49-50

After 1 hour simple work = 52-53

After half or one hour heavy gaming = 56-57

After 1 or two hour movie watching = 52-53

processor card
temperature here of core 0 and core 1 mostly remains the same or differ by 1 degree

@ system startup ( I mean when I got into os ) = 22

After 1 hour simple work = 24

After half or one hour heavy gaming = 28

After 1 or two hour movie watching = 23
