i bought dual layer dvd for Rs 30/-. i want to burn 7+gb of data in it(not videos). does it take more than 1:30hr to burn? even when i burned normal dvd it took 1hr. is it the problem of nero?or my dvd writer?

Try burning a DVD with Imgburn or Infra Recorder (both free). If it still takes an hour, then its an RW problem.

i think there is a problem with your system. At what speed do you burn the dvds. Is your burner very old. Check your DMA settings.

Erm... try burning a DVD at 8x speed and let us know. Even at 4x, 1 hour to burn is a little too high.

The problem seem to be with your writable media. I think it may not allow burning at higher speeds
