Philips DV series is recommend..it comes under budget & has good features

Philips? not branded one---am going for unbranded chinese or taiwan one..

i agree, but i already own a branded one, which fails to read simple scratches and other video formats. i need a versatile player!!! tats y moving to unbranded

PS2 = The best DVD player out there. Plays all kinds of scratched and damaged DVDs.
