Hello mates ,

Please try it
Sending mail by clicking an icon on desktop without opening outlook express.
---------------------------------------------------------------
You can easily create an icon on your desktop that allows you to compose and sand a mail by double clicking on it without opening Outlook Express.

1- Find a free space on your desktop and right click on it on New -> Shortcut
2- Enter in the space 'mailto:' (w/out quotes)
3- Press 'Next' button.
4- Enter in the space a name for the icon (i use 'mail')
5- Click 'finish'.

Just a small addition to the trick above................

 If ur keyboard has configurable shortcut keys:

1. Right click on the Icon you have created above
2. Go to Properties
3. Left Click in the text box of "Shortcut Key"
4. Press the Customizable Keyboard Key.
5. Click OK...Now ur done....Next time to compose mail, just click that Shortcut Key.

 For a Ctrl + Alt Shortcut:

1. Right click on the Icon you have created above
2. Go to Properties
3. Left Click in the text box of "Shortcut Key"
4. Press Ctrl + G (Can be any other letter which has no prior binding, I choose G as Gmail is my default mail)
5. Click OK...Now ur done....Next time to compose mail, just click Ctrl+Alt+G

In WinXP you can customize the icon for the shortcut too....or else, if the mail is installed, eg. in my case Gmail Notifier is installed, so the Gmail icon is applied by default.....
