I have install XP pro sp2
When i want to open firewall a message popup-
due to an unidentified problem, window can not display firewall settings
I have Avast home antivirus installed
please any body help on above problem

Check your Firwall Service... Is it running ??

after startup wait for some time and u will b able to view the settings..
Or try killing the avast services from task manager and then try if u r able to view the settings..
i was having the same problem and uninstalled avast...

sfc /scannow, or u may be infected.

add reg tweak from *windowsxp.mvps.org/sharedaccess.htm
reboot.
